Day 134 of Firsts: Make a Glass Flower

Let us dance in the sun, wearing wild flowers in our hair... ~Susan Polis Shutz
This is just one of the coolest little Firsts I've done.  On Mother's Day my husband arranged for us to make glass long stem flowers at  Hudson Beach Glass in Philadelphia.  Check out this video.

We picked out colors and helped pull out the hot glass.  It's a great thrill to see it take shape. For 35 dollars it makes a sweet personal gift.

You do have to wait a couple of days for it to cool.  Today I was excited to go pick them up and see how they turned out.

Hudson Beach Glass lets you blow Christmas ornaments, easter eggs, and they have a beer pint special coming up.  They do private lessons and classes too.

I bet most people in Philadelphia don't even know this place exists.  You can find out more at info@hudsonbeachglasspa.com
